There are roughly 22 million people living with HIV and AIDS in Africa. Just last year some 2 million people died from the virus in the region. To help fight AIDS Nike brought together some of the biggest names in sports: Kobe Bryant, Maria Sharapova, Didier Drogba, Andrei Arshavin, Clint Dempsey, Marco Materazzi, Javier Mascherano and Fabio Cannavaro. It’s all part of Nike’s Red Laces campaign, where 100 percent of the profits will go to help fight AIDS in Africa.
